Our ProgramsBright Beginnings has five different age groups, each with distinct developmental milestones. Our educators work with your child to develop movement skills, language, cognitive learning, fine motor skills as well as healthy social and emotional behaviour. In addition to daily updates from interaction with our staff, parents will also receive quarterly developmental report cards to track their child's progress.
Classrooms: Shining Stars; 6-15 months Bright Beginnings infant program provides an opportunity for children to observe, interact with, and explore their surrounding environment. Small group sizes allow for children’s individual needs to be met and for skills to be developed. A safe, loving, and stimulating environment is the key to our infant program. Zoo; 16-24 Months
Following the infant program, your child will enter our toddler classroom. At this stage in their lives, curiosity and learning will become more prominent. This is why the toddler program is designed to guide children as they develop this greater sense of curiosity and understanding. Learning self-help skills is an important part of the toddler curriculum. Jungle; 2-3 years Following our toddler program your child will join the Jungle room. At this stage your child is becoming even more curious about the world around them and is more aware of their likes and dislikes. This program, like the toddlers is designed to guide children as they develop an even greater sense of curiosity and self awareness. Learning communication and sharing skills is an important part of this program. Canucks; 3-4 years:
Following the two’s program, your child will enter our Canuck’s classroom. At this stage a child is developing a true sense of self and starting to build relationships with peers. The friendship aspect of their lives becomes very important part of their lives. Learning how to be a good friend and the ability to welcome new things whether it be friends, foods or activities is an important part of this program. Critters; 4-5 years: The preschool program is the final stage of childcare at Bright Beginnings. The focus of this program is on developing skills, through daily experiences, which will foster children’s interests and inquiry by listening and becoming active learners in their space and environment. We teach children communication as well as emotional regulation skills which are crucial to social development in the next stage of their lives. |
